Concert Review: A Cutthroat Comeback

Civil unrest got that evening going around 8 p.m. at The Rail Club on Friday July 27th. There an up-and-coming act with influences from Avenged Sevenfold Mushroomhead Slipknot and Trivium plus many more. I have seen these guys quite a few times now and they generally improve every time. While still incredibly new to the DFW scene they are extremely hungry and can pull a crowd. Stage presence is improving tremendously along with overall musicianship. Keep an eye on these guys. Suffer The Human Condition built upon the momentum that civil unrest started. They are extremely heavy with a Beat down Style of music. The crowd was starting to ... Read More

Concert Review: Paul Wall at The Rail Club

Paul Wall came through tonight at the rail club and performed a ton of his classic hits plus some new material.  Being a Texas legend I've respected for quite some time but never have had the opportunity to see live it was amazing to finally get to experience that.  When "Sitting Sideways" came on the crowd went crazy and surged forward.  Getting to be on the other side of the gate is awesome but getting to see your favorite artists in this fashion is a dream come true.  Fan interaction from Paul was very to him,  even after all the meet and greet patrons had finished he still wanted to meet more of them.  This will go down as one ... The Rail Club Presents Last In Line 4/15/18

On Sunday April 15th we all gathered united for a common goal.  We all wanted to stick it to breast cancer and donate as much money as we could for the Breast Cancer Can Stick It Foundation.  There was a silent auction with many great pieces of memorabilia available to be bought by the highest bidder.  Breast Cancer survivor and founder of the foundation April Samuels can light up the room with her energy and passion for this cause.  Their biggest yearly event is the Drumathon which attracts some of the best national and local drummers to participate in a drum circle style event where the percussion can be heard from miles away. ... Concert Review: Dead Kennedys at The Rail Club

The cold and rain didn’t keep hundreds of punk rock fans from waiting more than an hour to get into the Rail Club (3101 Joyce Dr, 817-560-7245) on Saturday night. Though the venue is known more as a bastion for metal heads, the Westside all-ages club snagged legendary San Francisco punk pioneers The Dead Kennedys, who haven’t toured since 2001. Because of some band drama that was settled in a courtroom, the iconic quartet is on the road without its notorious frontman Jello Biafra. Before DK played its more than hour-long set of now-classics from its vast catalogue, the near-sell-out crowd was treated to a few North Texas’ ... Read More

Fort Worth Metal Fest

March has been a busy month for metal heads in Dallas-Fort Worth. Last weekend, the Dallas Metal Scene hosted the Deep Ellum Metal Festival. This weekend, the Rail Club hosted the Fort Worth Metal Fest. In its fourth year, the festival offered nearly nine straight hours of metal. Whether you’re into thrash, death, grind, or black metal, there was something for everyone. Chemicaust went on around 3:00 and promptly blazed through their 30 minute set. There were only a couple of hundred people at the Rail Club, but those who were there were treated to a killer set. Playing tracks off their recently released Unleashed Upon This ... Read More

Stuart Baker kills it at the Rail Club

May 10th started out like just an ordinary Thursday for most of us except we all could sense something special in the air.  I had heard all the talk from fans about how this show that evening was going to be awe inspiring.  I think I believed them but it's one of those things that until you witness it you just don't really understand.  Rewind about 3 days prior and I was talking to a gentleman from Indiana.  He had called the Rail Club phone line and I happened to be sitting in the office working on some spreadsheets so like I always do I answered.  He was looking for ticket prices and seating options for the Unknown Hinson show.  ...
