Dokken at the Rail Club on 7/12/18

What a night of terrific of classic 80’s metal that was served up by Dokken. Having sold 10 million albums worldwide Dokken has established a loyal and solid fan base. Those fans sure did turn out on this occasion and packed The Rail Club to almost capacity. The night got started off with local bands opening the show. Redline Drive came ready to play and got things started with a high energy 30 minute set. Followed by Rail Club regulars Blackout. They are no strangers to opening up shows for these types of high caliber national touring acts. Blackout and company ripped through their set to the audiences delight. They always deliver and you could really feel something special in the air with their performance. Texas Mudd was up next and thrilled the audience with their 30 minute set as more and more fans started coming through the doors. Roaring Truth performed as main support and they hit the nail right on the head. They got the crowd all warmed up for Dokken to hit the stage. When they did Dokken showed why they were a powerhouse band of the 80’s and toured with some of the biggest acts of their generation. They delighted the crowd as only Don Dokken can. One of the most memorable moments in show filled with them was a stripped down haunting version of The Doors classic The End. They also charmed the audience with their hits songs “Alone Again”, “In my Dreams”, and “Burning like a Flame”. They played a scorching 75 minute set and left the audience wanting more. This truly was a night that brought these fans together to enjoy some amazing music. Until the next one keep on supporting music venues and coming out to the shows.
